The CMA team

Clare Morris – Founder and CEO

Clare has more than two decades of experience in public and media relations, crisis management, and strategic planning and implementation. Prior to launching CMA in 2006, Clare was the director of marketing and communications at the South Carolina Department of Commerce, where she led all marketing and communications functions for the agency. She worked directly with the Governor’s Office, SC’s foreign offices, local economic developers, state and federal agencies, local officials, and utilities. She traveled to China and Japan with Governor Mark Sanford and Commerce Secretary Bob Faith in October 2003, and signed a biotechnology Memorandum-of-Understanding with Queensland, Australia, Premier Peter Beattie in July 2005.

Jessica Daly – Creative direction

Jessica has more than two decades of marketing and communications experience, including strategy development, brand management, and design management. Before joining CMA, Jessica was the director of marketing for the S.C. Department of Commerce, where she oversaw the agency’s marketing strategy and managed the state’s economic development brand. She worked with local and regional economic development organizations to market South Carolina as a strategic business location and managed the logistics for several national and international industry-specific trade shows.

Trisha Ostrowski – Media, stakeholder, and government relations

Trisha has more than two decades of marketing and communications experience, including strategy development, media relations, and content development. Before joining CMA, Trisha served as a communications and public relations consultant for several Members of the South Carolina General Assembly and for USC’s Office of Research. She also was managing editor of Southern Business and Development magazine, where she developed the editorial strategy for each issue and developed content strategy and marketing plans for several industry-specific websites owned by the magazine.

Meredith Cully – Event management and design coordination

Meredith has more than 16 years of marketing and communications experience, including strategic planning, event and meeting management, and design coordination. Before joining CMA, Meredith was the director of marketing at the S.C. Department of Commerce, where she developed and implemented marketing strategies for the agency and planned and coordinated international events for the Governor’s Office, state delegations, and foreign dignitaries.

Amy Murray – Writing and editing

Amy has 18 years of communications experience, including content development, website management, and event management. Before joining CMA, Amy was a marketing manager for the S.C. Department of Commerce, where she produced a variety of executive and staff communications, media releases, reports, and web content. Amy has held writing and editing positions within the private and not-for-profit sectors.
